H.A.C.K Kick-Off Meeting in Germany

H.A.C.K Kick-Off Meeting in Germany

The HACK – Hyper-Athletic Competitors Kicking into the Metaverse project officially commenced with a successful two-day Kick-Off Meeting held on 22–23 April 2026 in Munich, Germany. Hosted by project coordinator UDEVELOP EV, the meeting brought together project partners from Germany, Greece, and Serbia to establish the foundation for a collaborative initiative that aims to empower athletes through digital innovation and education.

The HACK project seeks to equip athletes with essential digital competencies while exploring the opportunities presented by emerging technologies, including the metaverse. Through a combination of educational resources, study visits, seminars, and an innovative digital learning platform, the project will enhance the skills, employability, and long-term development of athletes across Europe.

The kick-off meeting provided an opportunity for the consortium to introduce their organisations, define roles and responsibilities, and align expectations for the project’s implementation. Representatives from UDEVELOP EV (Germany), the Social Innovation and Cohesion Institute (Greece), and Youth Basketball Club Junior (Serbia) discussed the project’s objectives, target groups, planned activities, milestones, and expected outcomes, laying the groundwork for effective cooperation throughout the project lifecycle.

A significant portion of the meeting focused on designing the HACK Digital Skills Training Programme, which will provide athletes with practical knowledge and competencies through structured learning activities, study visits, and seminars. Partners also began planning the development of the project’s educational platform, which will offer accessible digital learning materials and innovative educational content tailored to the needs of athletes and sports stakeholders.

On the second day, consortium members addressed communication, dissemination, and visibility strategies to maximise the project’s outreach across partner countries. Discussions also covered monitoring and evaluation methodologies, sustainability planning, financial management, and partnership coordination to ensure the successful delivery of project objectives and long-term impact.

The Kick-Off Meeting concluded with a shared commitment to collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Partners expressed their enthusiasm for working together to support athletes in developing the digital skills needed to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world while strengthening the connection between sport, education, and digital transformation.

The HACK project is funded by the European Union and represents an important step towards creating inclusive digital learning opportunities that empower athletes and sports organizations to embrace future technologies and foster lifelong learning.

H.A.C.K. Partners Strengthen Collaboration During the Interim Online Project Meeting

On 30–31 July 2026, the partners of the H.A.C.K. (Hyper-Athletic Competitors Kicking into the Metaverse) project gathered online for the Interim Project Partners Meeting, marking an important milestone in the project’s implementation. Organised by the Lead Partner, the two-day meeting provided an opportunity for the consortium to review progress, assess completed activities, and coordinate the next phases of the project.

The meeting began with an overview of the project’s implementation, during which partners reviewed the progress achieved since the kick-off phase, assessed the status of each work package, and evaluated the completion of the project’s current deliverables. Discussions also focused on administrative and management matters, including reporting procedures, implementation timelines, and documentation requirements, ensuring that all partners remain aligned with the project’s objectives and responsibilities.

Financial management constituted another key element of the meeting, with partners reviewing budget implementation, financial reporting procedures, expenditure updates, and upcoming reporting deadlines. The consortium also examined the project’s communication and dissemination strategy, discussing recent developments related to the project website, social media activities, communication materials, and future dissemination actions aimed at increasing the visibility and impact of the H.A.C.K. project.

A significant part of the discussions was dedicated to the H.A.C.K. Open Educational Platform, where partners explored opportunities to further enrich its content through the co-creation of new educational modules and learning materials. The exchange of ideas highlighted the consortium’s commitment to developing an accessible and continuously evolving digital learning environment that supports athletes, coaches, trainers, and sport organisations across Europe.

The second day focused on planning the project’s upcoming activities, including the allocation of responsibilities, the coordination of future meetings, and the confirmation of forthcoming milestones and deadlines. The meeting concluded with a review of the decisions taken, confirmation of partners’ responsibilities, and the definition of the next implementation steps, reinforcing the consortium’s shared commitment to delivering high-quality project results.

The Interim Online Project Partners Meeting once again demonstrated the value of effective transnational cooperation, ensuring that all partners remain actively engaged in the successful implementation of the H.A.C.K. project. Through continuous communication, collaborative planning, and shared decision-making, the consortium continues to advance innovative educational approaches that combine sport, digital transformation, and lifelong learning, contributing to the project’s long-term impact across Europe.
